Native Plant Sale

Spring Native Plant Sale

Sales Date: Early April

What are Native Plants?

Native plants are plants that grow naturally in, and are adapted to, the local climate and soil conditions. These important plant species provide nectar, pollen, and seeds that serve as food for native butterflies, insects, birds and other animals. NCSU recommends planting natives whenever possible.

What Plants are Available?

Plant sale species (openly pollinated) were selected for full sun to light shade, average moisture requirements and more compact size to fit homeowner landscapes. Special care was made to select species that are native to the mountains of Western North Carolina.
